Police Blotter: 2 Thefts in Ardmore, Wynnewood

Two thefts were reported this week in addition to a number of thefts from unlocked vehicles.

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Ardmore and Wynnewood:

Theft: Police were called to the Wine & Spirits store on Greenfield Avenue in Ardmore on a report that a man tried to shoplift two bottles of liquor, valued at $120. A store employee confronted the man, who then gave the bottles back and left prior to police arrival. The man is described as a black male in his 50s, with a medium build and facial hair, wearing a green-and-blue collared shirt and glasses, police said.

Theft: A wallet containing cash and credit cards was taken from a room at Saunders House in Wynnewood sometime between 10 and 11 a.m. June 27.
