Police Blotter: $40,000 in Jewelry Stolen from Penn Wynne Home
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Tuesday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Ardmore, Merion, Wynnewood and Penn Wynne:
Theft: Copper downspouts were stolen from the 1300 block of Morris Road in Wynnewood sometime between Dec. 1, 2011 and Feb. 13, police said. No value was given for the about 10 feet of downspouts stolen.
Retail theft: Two people were arrested in connection with a retail theft that occurred at about 11 a.m. Feb. 14 at Seidenburg Luggage in Suburban Square. Police said the two suspects drove off in a car, and police subsequently stopped the vehicle. Renada Cristobal, 20, of the 900 block of 55th Street in Philadelphia and Muhammad Qudoos, 24, of the 200 block of S. 55th Street in Philadelphia were arrested and were charged with retail theft, police said. No value was given for the items stolen.

Burglary: About $40,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a home on the 1200 block of Remington Road in Penn Wynne, homeowners reported to police at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 14. A homeowner returned home about that time to find the house had been ransacked, police said. The burglar gained entry by forcing open a door, police said. Police did not have a timeframe for the crime, and there are no suspects.
