Police Blotter: Manhole Covers Stolen Out of Ardmore Streets
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in the Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood area:
- Theft: Several items were stolen from two purses in a third-floor office in between 6:50 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. April 10, police said. Each was relieved of bank and credit cards, a drivers license and cash. A credit card from one purse was used at the Target on City Avenue.
- Theft: Gold and silver jewelry of unknown value was reported stolen from a home in the in Wynnewood sometime in the six weeks before April 10.
- Theft: Eight sections of copper downspout were reported stolen from the about 9 a.m. April 10.
- Public intoxication: Schuyler Field, 24, of Queensbury, NY, was cited about 1 a.m. April 12 on the 300 block of West Lancaster Avenue and taken to Lankenau Hospital for treatment.
- DUI: Katherine Familetti, 45, of the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue was charged about 11:30 p.m. April 12 after police stopped a swerving car with no working taillights on Cricket Avenue. Her blood alcohol content was 0.13, police said.
- Theft: Four manhole covers were reported stolen from the 1200 block of Grenox Road about 2:30 p.m. April 13. Each costs about $200, police said, and they were replaced before the manholes caused any accidents.
- Theft: A $1,500 cast-aluminum bench, a replica of one in London's Hyde Park, was reported stolen at 6 p.m. April 13 from the 200 block of North Bowman Avenue in Merion Station.
