Police: Thieves Continue to Target Unlocked Cars
Ten more thefts from cars were reported last week, including five in one night in Merion Station. Twenty two thefts were reported the previous week, police said.

Ten more thefts from unlocked cars—five of them hit in one night in Merion—were reported throughout the township last week, police said at a weekly briefing to news media on Monday.
No one was seen in any of the thefts, police said. This week's total is down from the .

- 200 block of Valley Road: change was taken from two cars
- 200 block of Merion Road: $2 in change was taken
- 200 block of Merion Road: change purse was taken
- 200 block of Linden Lane: nothing was missing
- 200 block of Linden Lane: iPod and GPS were taken
Police also reported a theft from the 1300 block of Remington Road in Wynnewood overnight from June 17 to 18, in which an iPod was stolen from an unlocked car.
A Garmin GPS was stolen from a locked car on the 100 block of Union Avenue in Bala Cynwyd overnight from June 26 to 27. There were no signs of force, police said.

An attempted theft from a vehicle was reported on the 600 block of Winsford Road in Bryn Mawr overnight from June 26 to 27. Nothing was missing, police said.
A GPS unit and registration card were stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of Bala Avenue sometime between June 26 and 28, police said.
