Lecture on Italian-American Identity
Where/When: Wednesday, December 4, 2013, 7:00 PM Villanova University, Falvey Memorial Library, Speaker's Corner
Why Go: This year’s Mannella lecture will feature Leonard Guercio, a program and project specialist in the Film and Media Arts department of Temple University’s Center for the Arts. Guercio will be screening two of his short films—one entitled “Tiramisù” and the other is a short documentary about St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish in South Philadelphia. He will also give a talk entitled “Italian-American Identity: the Media, the Mafia, and the Message." If time permits, a Q&A session will follow the talk. Light refreshments will be served.
