This Weekend: Races, Films and Fright

Check out a few Lower Merion events happening this weekend:

• Riverbend Environmental Education Center in Gladwyne is hosting the Halloween event Shiverfest, rain or shine from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. More details from Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch.
• The Lower Merion Conservancy and Lower Merion Township Environmental Advisory Council are holding a Stormwater Runoff 5K from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Flat Rock Park.
• Bryn Mawr Film Institute is showing the early Johnny Depp vehicle 'Edward Scissorhands' at 11 a.m. Saturday and a National Theatre (London) production of 'Othello' at noon Sunday.
• Guy Campo & the Contusions will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at the Rusty Nail in Ardmore.
• The Penn Wynne Library 5K Race/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the library, 130 Overbrook Parkway in Penn Wynne.
