3 Thefts From Cars in Bala Cynwyd This Week, Police Say

In one incident, a $900 tablet was stolen, police said.

Items were stolen from three cars in Bala Cynwyd this week, Lower Merion police said at a Monday briefing. All three cars were unlocked.

  • An HP Slate tablet, valued at $900, was stolen from an unlocked car on the 100 block of Summit Lane in Bala Cynwyd sometime between 3 p.m. on April 3 and 6:30 a.m. on April 4, police said.
  • An unlocked car on the unit block of Derwen Rd. in Bala Cynwyd was entered between 5 p.m. on April 4 and 9 a.m. on April 5, police said. A change container was found missing, with the total loss estimated at under $10, police said.
  • An iPod Nano, charger and earbuds, valued worth $100, were stolen from an unlocked car on the 500 block of Oxford Lane in Bala Cynwyd between 7 p.m. on April 6 and 8:45 a.m. on April 7, police said.

As always, residents are advised to remove valuable items from their vehicles and lock their cars.
