Check Wednesday's Forecast, Traffic Concerns for Lower Merion and Narberth

Happy Wednesday, Patch readers of Lower Merion and Narberth. Here are a few things you should know about:
- As of late Tuesday night, emergency personnel were still at the scene of a car-vs.-pole accident in Penn Wynne, which shut down traffic for hours around Haverford Road and Andover Road, according to Montgomery County's emergency-dispatch database. Use caution if you're driving in that area on Wednesday.
- The alternating-traffic lane closures on Haverford Road between Montgomery Avenue and downtown Narberth should be coming to an end soon, according to a borough official.
- Expect lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the Schuylkill Expressway.
- The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high around 85. There's another chance of rain late Wednesday night as the temperature's expected to drop to about 70.
- Speaking of weather, Wednesday marks two years since Hurricane Irene punished the Philadelphia area and other parts of the eastern seaboard.
- Lower Merion School District students start classes Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. Teachers and other staff are already at work all this week. Many local private schools begin classes Wednesday, Sept. 4, or later.
- Also returning Tuesday will be the services of Ardmore Library, closed these past nine months for water-damage repairs.
- In local sports, Harriton's golf team plays Upper Darby at McCall Field at 3 p.m. Wednesday and Lower Merion girls tennis visits Penn Charter at 1:30 p.m. Check schedules for Harriton and Lower Merion via DigitalSports.
- Check the following PennDOT cameras for traffic conditions on the Schuylkill Expressway: Westbound at City Avenue, Westboundeast of Belmont Avenue, Westbound west of Belmont Avenue, Westbound east of Gladwyne exit, Westbound west of Gladwyne exit, Eastbound west of Gladwyne, Eastbound at Belmont Avenue, Eastbound at City Avenue
