City Avenue Spring Fling Draws Hundreds
Businesses and residents from Bala Cynwyd and Philadelphia mingled.
Hundreds of people who live or work in the City Avenue corridor convened Wednesday evening for the City Avenue Special Services District's annual Spring Fling networking and entertainment event in a Presidential Boulevard parking lot.
Visitors enjoyed live music and mingled with businesses, including about a dozen radio station with local studios. Several stands served snacks under a tent.
This year's event was unmarred by fire. At 2011's Spring Fling, a restaurant next to the parking lot where the event took place. (No one was hurt, but the restaurant never reopened; a Joe's Crab Shack restaurant is in the renovated space.)
