Fires, Thefts Investigated by Lower Merion Police
Calls for service increased slightly in July's first week.

Lower Merion police responded to 263 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley in the week ending July 8, up from , department records show.

- 1 burglary, July 7 on the 600 block of Braeburn Lane in Penn Valley
- 2 fires: one July 3 on the 1400 block of Hagys Ford Road in Penn Valley, and one July 5 on the 300 block of Penbree Circle in Bala Cynwyd
- 1 car accident with injuries, July 3 at Montgomery Avenue and Hardie Way in Bala Cynwyd
- 8 car accidents with property damage
- 1 citation for public drunkenness
- 4 thefts: three for over $200
