'Flap Jack' Opens on City Avenue

Flap Jack Family Restaurant opened for business Tuesday at 115 W. City Ave., roughly three months after  closed down there.

Mohsen Bayouni owned and managed the IHOP for about 25 years and has the same role at Flap Jack, he told Patch in a brief interview Tuesday.

The menu is similar as the IHOP menu, and Flap Jack's staff of 32 is about the same size, Bayouni said. The restaurant will be open from 7 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends.
