Jewelry Store Leaves Bala Cynwyd

has ended 21 years of retail business at Montgomery Avenue and Old Lancaster Road and will open a new location Wednesday morning in Ardmore's Suburban Square.

The Bala Cynwyd store shut down Friday evening, company spokeswoman Caroline Kallman Joffe said. The Ardmore location, next to the Apple store, will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Owner Danny Govberg that the company opted to find a new retail spot on the Main Line rather than undergo needed renovations at the Bala Cynwyd store, which opened in 1991.

Govberg is keeping offices on the second floor in Bala Cynwyd, but the 3,000-square-foot retail floor is available for rent, Kallman Joffe said.
