Lower Merion Companies Attend Philadelphia Firefighters' Funerals
Two men died in a Kensington fire.

Representatives of the Lower Merion Fire Department and the Ardmore, Gladwyne and Penn Wynne fire companies will attend viewings and funeral services Friday and Saturday for the two Philadelphia firefighters who died in a Kensington fire this week, said LMFD administrative assistant Carole Taylor.
NBC Philadelphia reports the following services will take place:
- Viewing and memorial for Lt. Robert Neary, 60, at 4 p.m. Friday, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia
- Viewing for Firefighter Daniel Sweeney, 25, from 7-9 p.m. Friday, 535 Rhawn St., Philadelphia
- Viewing and service for Sweeney, 9-11 a.m. Saturday, 535 Rhawn St., Philadelphia, followed by interment at 4001 W. Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia
- Viewing for Neary, 5-8 p.m. Saturday, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia
Deputy Fire Marshal Frank Hand will represent the township department at the viewings, Taylor told Patch, and Gladwyne company is sending a truck to be one of the vehicles lining Sweeney's funeral procession route on Saturday.
