Man Charged in Sunoco Robbery, Abduction

A Philadelphia man was arrested Thursday and charged in the at the on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Lower Merion police said Friday.

Timothy Terrell Harris, 32, of Glenwood Avenue in Philadelphia faces multiple charges, according to court records:

• one first-degree felony charge of "kidnap to facilitate a felony"
• two third-degree felony charges of robbery
• two misdemeanor theft charges and a misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment

Investigators in June found that the Sunoco robber forced a store clerk to come with him, leaving the scene before police arrived. The man was later released, unharmed, in Philadelphia.

Police have not said where Harris was arrested Thursday.

Harris is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 6, before in Penn Valley, court records show.
