Police Activity: DUIs, Fire Alarms, Animal Incidents

Lower Merion police responded to 239 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley the week ending Aug. 5, down from , department records show.

The police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:

• 7 animal incidents: 3 with dogs, 3 with deer and 1 with cats
• 3 DUI arrests: one Aug. 2 and , both in Penn Valley, and one July 30 in Bala Cynwyd
• 3 faulty fire alarms, 2 accidental fire alarms
• 5 car accidents with injuries
• 11 car accidents with property damage
• 2 citations for public drunkenness
• 4 thefts
