Police Blotter: Manhole Covers Stolen from Penn Valley Streets

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in the Narberth-Bala Cynwyd area:

Theft: A purse and credit cards were stolen between 12:45 and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 from a suite in an office building on the 200 block of St. Asaph's Road in Bala Cynwyd, police said. The victim was contacted by the victim’s bank after the cards were used at the Philadelphia Target store, police said.

DUI: Police stopped a vehicle on the 400 block of Conshohocken State Road about 1:28 a.m. Thursday, police said. An officer observed the vehicle drive up on the curb and make a right turn across two lanes onto Conshohocken State Road, police said. A breath test of Joseph Bucci, 33, from the 800 block of Mystic Lane in Norristown registered a 0.10 blood-alcohol content, and he will be charged with DUI, police said.

Public drunkenness: Yosef Eckhaus, 24, of Lakewood, NJ, and Yehuda Spira, 24, of Brooklyn, NY, were issued citations for public drunkenness on the 300 block of Bala Avenue about 12:51 a.m. Saturday, police said. Eckhaus' blood-alcohol content registered 0.17 and Spira's was 0.18, police said.

Theft: Two manhole covers were stolen from Conshohocken State Road and Fairview Road in Penn Valley overnight Thursday to Friday, police said.
