Armed with my camera and my car, I drove around , , , Brentwood Borough and parts of Pittsburgh on Tuesday to check on road conditions heading into the evening rush hour.

Major roads in Whitehall, such as Baptist and Weyman, were very clear—albeit wet—at around 3:10 p.m., and there have been no reports of bad side roads, either.

Major and side roads in Baldwin and Brentwood boroughs, however, were quite slushy and slippery at around that same time, especially Brownsville Road and the part of Churchview Avenue closest to Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood.

Brownsville was at a crawl at around that time, but much of that had to do with the dismissal of Brentwood Borough School District students. Brentwood, like the , did not cancel or delay classes on Tuesday, and no evening cancellations or delays have been announced, either.

Baldwin Township's roads—especially McNeilly—were quite slushy by the time that I reached that area (at around 3:30).

Snow has been periodically falling all day, and it appears to be the kind of snow that sticks and lays—heavy, fat flakes.

Route 51, especially in Pittsburgh's Overbrook section heading to and from the Baldwin-Whitehall area, is also thick with slush.

Please exercise caution, folks, during your drive home from work.
