Baldwin-Whitehall Patch Turns 1

One year ago today, Patch began serving Baldwin Borough, Whitehall Borough and Baldwin Township.

It seems like only yesterday, but on Dec. 30, 2010, Patch—the hyperlocal news website and community forum owned by AOL—launched in Baldwin-Whitehall.

I've been with the site since Dec. 6 that year, during its building stages, and time has certainly gone by quickly.

As an alumnus of the (and a resident), I've enjoyed the experience perhaps even more than some other local Patch editors. Telling the stories of others who live in and around Baldwin-Whitehall—or used to—has been especially rewarding, as has listening to feedback from readers.

The Baldwin-Whitehall Patch, like all Patch sites, has grown by leaps and bounds since we launched, and that should only continue in Year No. 2.

I looked through our site's archives recently—available here—and dusted off the "Welcome to Baldwin-Whitehall Patch" article (with video).

It's been a special treat to work as a reporter in my hometown. Here's to the future.

If you're new to our site, to learn about all that the B-W Patch can do for you.

As always, thanks for reading. You can reach us 24/7 at baldwin-whitehall@patch.com.
