Harrison Student Katie Zemaitis Wins First Night Pittsburgh Singing Contest
Zemaitis, a seventh-grader, will perform on KDKA-TV on Dec. 16 and at The Benedum Center on New Year's Eve.

Katie Zemaitis, a seventh-grader at , beat out all challengers in Equitable Gas and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's First Night Pittsburgh Singing Contest to earn $500 in cash and the right to perform at The Benedum Center for the Performing Arts during Highmark First Night Pittsburgh 2012.
Zemaitis' audition video earned the most fan votes, and fans will have another chance to see her perform—live—as she kicks off the Equitable Gas Marquee Performances at The Benedum Center, starting at 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., on New Year's Eve.
The Benedum Center is located at 237 7th St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

Zemaitis will also sing this Friday, Dec. 16, on the Pittsburgh Today Live TV show on CBS Pittsburgh (KDKA). The show runs from 9 to 10 a.m. that day.
