$4,335 In Grants Awarded To 9 Bensalem Schools
The Bensalem Education Foundation doled out the grants at Tuesday's school board meeting.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Education Foundation doled out nine grants totaling $4,335 at Tuesday night's school board meeting.
The foundation awards grants through an application process that occurs once each year in the spring.
BEF is a 501(c)3 organization that relies on donations and supports the purpose of improving teaching and learning in Bensalem through innovative educational initiatives.

These are the schools that got the grants:
- Belmont Hills Elementary: Character Strong Resources
- Cornwells Elementary: Pottery Club
- Faust Elementary: School-Wide Positive Behavior Program
- Rush Elementary: Supporting Teacher Technology
- Struble Elementary: Playground Equipment Safe Play
- Valley Elementary: Flexible Seating for All
- Shafer Middle School: Brighter in Color Printer
- Snyder Middle School: Brighter in Color Printer
- Bensalem High School: Motivational Word Art

Congratulations to the 57 Bensalem High School students recognized at last night's school board meeting for qualifying to compete at this year’s PA DECA state competition.
Ten students are medalists, with six advancing to the International Competition, DECA ICDC, in Orlando, Florida. DECA is a business club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
The school board also recognized Team 5401: The Fightin' Robotic Owls for winning the FIRST Robotics Mid-Atlantic Competition Bensalem District Event IMPACT Award! Congratulations!
