67 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In Bucks
The number of new cases reported Tuesday was three times the target for reopening under Pennsylvania's plan.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Another 67 cases of the coronavirus were reported in Bucks County on Tuesday, the second day in a row that numbers were well above the target to reopen under Pennsylvania's plan.
Sixteen new deaths also were reported, county officials said, although 10 of them happened more than a week ago and were just being officially reported. Seven of those older reports were from a single nursing home, said Dr. David Damsker, director of the Bucks County Department of Health.

Those who died ranged in age from 57 to 100 and had underlying health conditions and all but one lived in a long-term care facility.
Of the 67 new coronavirus cases reported Tuesday, more than half were from nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. Thirty-six of the new cases were residents and three were facility staff members.

Nine of the other cases were from household contacts, four were from community spread, three were from healthcare workplaces and three were from co-workers at other jobs. Nine were unable to be reached.
The color-coded reopening plan set forth by Gov. Tom Wolf requires that an area have fewer than 50 new coronavirus cases per 100,000 people over the course of 14 days. In Bucks County, that would require an average of about 22 new cases per day.
After a weekend that saw Bucks County reporting only 29 cases on Saturday and 24 cases on Sunday, the number of new cases reported in the county spiked to 81 on Monday.
The new numbers bring Bucks County's COVID-19 total to 4,441 cases, with 399 deaths. A total of 1,337 people are known to have recovered.
On Tuesday, 128 patients were hospitalized with coronavirus in Bucks County, with 19 of them in critical condition and on ventilators.
