Bensalem Hosting BCMEA Festival
The Bensalem School District will host the Bucks County Music Educators Association Festival Friday and Saturday.
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Over 600 of Bucks County's best school musicians will gather this week for a music festival hosted here.
The Bensalem Township School District —along with its music faculty —is hosting the Bucks County Music Educators Association Festival, bringing the musicians and their teachers together for three days of rigorous rehearsals, culminating in a public performance.
The Bucks County Music Educators Association (BCMEA) is a professional organization made
up of music teachers from both public and private schools from throughout Bucks County.

County.
For over 50 years, BCMEA has sponsored the Bucks County Music Educators Festival.

Students audition for the opportunity to work with some of the best conductors in the Tri-State
area, and perform high quality literature with some of the best student musicians in Bucks
County.
Six ensembles are available for choral, band, and orchestral students at the middle and
high school level.
The festival takes place at Bensalem High School, 4319 Hulmeville Rd.
The public is invited to attend any or all concerts.
Tickets are available at the door: $10.00 for adults; and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. All concerts will take place in the Bensalem High School auditorium.
The concert schedule is as follows:
- Friday, March 21, 7 p.m. —BCMEA Middle and High School Choral Concert
- Saturday, March 22, 12:30 p.m. —BCMEA Middle and High School Orchestra Concert
- Saturday, March 22, 7 p.m. —BCMEA Middle and High School Band Concert
