Car Fire In Woods Under Investigation In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters fought an abandoned car fire on Tuesday afternoon off Old Lincoln Highway.

The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department's Engine 65 and Engine 4 responded just before 6 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Old Lincoln Highway and Trailwood Drive for a reported smoke condition.

What firefighters found was an abandoned vehicle in the woods along the CSX railway that was on fire.

The vehicle was located about a mile into the wooded area, fire officials said.

The Bensalem Police Department and Bensalem fire investigators were combing the scene to see if any information about the car could be found.
