Bucks County Community College offers FREE Career Training Programs to help adults living in Bucks County find their next career. Choose between programs in either Manufacturing or in Microsoft Office Technology and find not just a job, but a career. Programs start in March so register for an information session now.

Students have taken advantage of learning a new craft, being introduced to new employers and discovering the different career pathways available upon graduating from Bucks County Community College’s Career Training Programs since 2014. Bucks’ Industrial Maintenance Pre-Apprentice and Microsoft Office Technology & Customer Service Programs give participants the resources they need to succeed in their next career. All students are partnered with a career counselor and industry experts who are tasked with preparing students for the workforce upon graduation.

The Industrial Maintenance Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program includes theory and hands-on training and introduces participants to the fundamental concepts and skills required by electro-mechanical technicians in manufacturing and a variety of industries. In only 12 weeks, participants can train for a new career with an average starting salary of $20/hour plus benefits with a 90% job placement rate. Coursework comprises a variety of topics including Safety, Blueprint Reading, Basic Electricity, Electrical Fabrication, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Basics and Troubleshooting, Electric Relay Control concepts, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Students earn OSHA10 & Forklift Safety certifications. The next training cohort starts March 21 with Information Sessions on February 17 and 24 at 1pm. The Microsoft Office Technology & Customer Service Specialist Training is an 8-week, online course designed to give participants the skills necessary to work effectively in any business environment with the perfect combination of technical and essential soft skills. Students will be taught by Industry Experts and will be matched with a Career Coach who will work with them on finding their next career opportunity. Online Information Sessions will take place at 1pm on March 1 and March 3. Training starts March 28, 2022.
