COVID-19 Update: Bucks Co. Cases, Hospitalizations Up Again
Last week's numbers show an increase in the seven-day case average, according to the latest data from the Bucks County Department of Health.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County reported 846 new COVID-19 cases between Oct. 4 and Oct. 8, according to data from the Bucks County Department of Health. That's an increase of 198 cases compared to the previous week.
Of these new cases, 135 are in children under 12 and 96 are in children between 12 and 18. That's 44 more new cases in children than the prior week.
On Saturday, the county's seven-day average was at 181 cases; by Monday, though, it had dropped to 162, according to data from the state health department.

The previous week's seven-day average was 132 cases.
As of Tuesday, at least 78 people were being treated for COVID-19 in Bucks County hospitals. Twenty are in intensive care, and six are on ventilators.

Nearly 70 percent of eligible residents 12 and older had by Tuesday received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. At least 62 percent of that population were fully vaccinated.
About 3,350 shots were administered last week, according to county health department reports.
