Explosion Injures 2 At Bensalem Hotel (ICYMI)

BENSALEM, PA — Fire investigators in Bensalem are looking into the cause of an explosion Sunday evening at an extended-stay hotel near Parx Casino.

The explosion happened at the Extended Stay America, at 3216 Tillman Dr.

According to Bensalem Township Fire Rescue, the two occupants of the room where the explosion happened suffered minor injuries and were taken by Bensalem EMS to a local hospital. By late Sunday night, the hotel had re-opened with the exception of two rooms on the second floor.

6ABC, citing an unnamed law enforcement source, was reporting that the blast happened when a woman sprayed an aerosol can near a burning candle in the room.
