Local Man Charged with Bank Theft

arrested Joseph Bucci and charged him with theft and receiving stolen property, both felonies of the third degree.

Bucci , 22, 3300 block of West End Avenue, Trevose, was charged with failing to return $69,300 that was accidentally deposited into his account.

caught the error but by the time they attempted to recover the money only $2,000 remained in his account. Further investigation found that Bucci not only purchased food, clothing and furniture but also used the stolen money to purchase a vehicle, airline tickets and a pet dog.

Bucci agreed to turn himself in today. He was arraigned by Judge Falcone and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
