Man Sought Sex With Bensalem Girl, 13, After Movie Date
Bensalem Police charged a Philadelphia man with numerous sex offenses after he tried to lure who he believed was a 13-year-old girl.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A Philadelphia man is in custody after trying to seek sex with a girl he believed was 13 years old, police said.
Curtis Evans, 44, of Philadelphia, began a conversation on a social media/dating app on Sept. 6 with the girl. Shortly after an initial discussion, Evans started asking the girl to meet him to go to a movie and to kiss her in the theater.
Evans also told the girl he would take her hand and put it down his pants, then take her to his home after the movie to perform various sexual acts on her, including intercourse, Bensalem Police said.

Over the next several weeks, Evans requested naked photos of her and described the specific sexually explicit images he wanted, police said.
Police said Evans provided her with the names of particular applications she could download so that her mother would not know she had sent him photos. He continued to talk about meeting the 13-year-old and sent her a photograph of his genitalia.

On Nov. 18, Evans left his Philadelphia home to drive to the girl's home in Bensalem and told her that he was going to purchase condoms on the way.
The meeting did not take place, and no children were in danger during this investigation.
Bensalem Police obtained an arrest warrant for Evans, charging him with Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Sexual Abuse of Children (Photo/Video), Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, and related charges.
At 8 p.m. on Tuesday, a Philadelphia Highway Patrol officer had contact with Evans and arrested him on an active Bensalem warrant.
He was transported to the Bensalem Township Police Department, where he was arraigned by District Justice Charles Jonas and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
