Neshaminy Mall Security Saved Woman's Life: Police
The 79-year-old woman passed out in a vehicle and was found unresponsive and not breathing, police said.
BENSALEM, PA — A pair of security officers at Neshaminy Mall were responsible for saving the life of a woman who passed out there late last month, police say.
The officers will be honored by Bensalem Township Police on Thursday, March 12, at the Bensalem Township Municipal Building.
According to police, a public safety officer at the mall was flagged down by a motorist at about 9:20 p.m. on Feb. 26. The driver told the officer that a 79-year-old woman had passed out inside a vehicle that was parked in the mall's parking lot.

The officer found the woman unresponsive and not breathing. The officer started CPR and called for help. A second officer responded and administered a shock from a defibrillator.
Bensalem Police and EMS arrived and the woman was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment.

"As a result of quick, life-saving efforts performed by the two Brookfield Public Safety Officers, the woman survived," police said in a news release on Wednesday.
The ceremony for the officers is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the municipal building, at 2400 Byberry Rd. in Bensalem.
