Ryan started as a chemistry teacher in the Wissahickon School District and then in the Penn-Delco School District. She joined the New Hope-Solebury School District as a chemistry teacher in August 2011 and has served as a curriculum coordinator since September 2019.
“I’ve always believed that every child deserves an education that nurtures the whole person — one that is centered on the learner and is experiential and inquiry-driven," Ryan said. "Whenever I had the opportunity to collaborate with Bensalem Township School District educators at the county level, I was consistently inspired by their deep commitment to this very approach. It’s an honor to join a team so dedicated to meeting the needs of every student, and I’m excited to serve the Bensalem community in this new role.”
Ryan earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in secondary education from Chestnut Hill College. She earned a doctorate in Pre K-12 Educational Leadership from Gwynedd Mercy University, where her dissertation investigated elementary teachers’ perceptions of professional development geared toward teaching inquiry-based science.
