On Wednesday, awarded $500 scholarships to 19 students from area schools.
Students participated in the scholarship contest by submitting an essay defining their education and future career objectives. Winners were selected by a panel of casino executives.
State Sen. Robert “Tommy” Tomlinson, State Rep. Gene DiGirolamo and Bensalem Mayor Joe DiGirolamo were on hand to congratulate the winners.

This was the casino’s 6th annual scholarship awards. Since the program’s inception, Parx has awarded over $40,000 to local students.
