Police: 'Numerous' Thefts From Vehicles In Bensalem This Week

Police believe the same person has been responsible for the rash of car break-ins that have been reported.

BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem believe the same person is responsible for a rash of thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles in the township this week.

Police on Friday said they are investigating numerous car break-in reports from the past few days. They said a suspected thief has been caught on several home surveillance cameras, pulling on vehicle doors to see if they are locked.

He is believed to be a white male who is seen wearing a backpack. He switches from a gray sweatshirt with dark stripes on the shoulder to a gray or olive green winter jacket with black patches on the shoulders, forearms and pockets.

Bensalem Police urged residents to lock their car doors at all times and to not hesitate to file a police report if their vehicles are broken into. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bensalem Police at 215-633-3719.
