Route 1 Phase III Project Planning Progressing
TMA Bucks, Bucks County's transportation agency, said PennDOT is seeking community feedback on the Phase III project.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — As the Route 1 Traffic Improvements Project continues, PennDOT is gearing up for Phase III.
TMA Bucks, Bucks County's transportation agency based in Bensalem Township, said that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is seeking public feedback on the project.
The project on Route 1 and Rockhill Drive in Bensalem and Middletown townships falls under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of the highway.

PennDOT said that Phase III construction is anticipated to start in the fall of 2029, with construction set for completion in the fall of 2033.
The cost and the contrator has yet to be determined, PennDOT said.

ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
Phase III improvements will extend from a point north of the Penndel Interchange to just north of the Corn Crib Lane overpass.
Section RC3 improvements include:
- U.S. 1
- PA 413 (Pine Street)
- SR 2008 (Highland Avenue)
- SR 2045 (Old Lincoln Highway)
- Corn Crib Lane
- North and southbound frontage roads
- West Interchange Road
