Man Injured As Car Crashes Into Bensalem Building

A crash happened Friday morning on Bristol Pike near Station Road, a report stated.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Bensalem Police are investigating the cause of a crash Friday morning that sent a car into a township building.

Bensalem Police responded at 10:04 a.m. Friday to the intersection of Bristol Pike and Station Avenue for the report of a vehicle into a building.

When police arrived, they found that a Kia Soul had struck a building at 1927 Bristol Pike.

The investigation revealed that the Kia Soul, driven by Joseph Johnston, 64, Stephen Avenue, Croydon, had been struck from behind by a large yellow box truck while waiting for the light at Station Avenue.

The force of the rear-end collision pushed the vehicle across the opposing lane of travel, a parking lot, and into the building.

The driver and passenger of the Kia Soul were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment of their injuries and are listed in stable condition.

The driver of the box truck, Ely George, 58, Thornbury Court, Lakewood, NJ, was not injured.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
