State Police Report Casino Incidents, DUIs, Hit & Run Crash

Between June 11-19, troopers responded to the following incidents.

On June 11 at 12:02 a.m., state police investigated a counterfeit bill at Parx Casino. Police said a suspected counterfeit $100 bill was discovered from an attempted exchange at the main cashier cage. Trooper B. Horlacher investigated the incident.

On June 15 at 5:38 p.m., state police issued a non-traffic citation at Parx Casino to Patricia Kelly, 44, of Perkasie, for criminal trespass after being previously excluded from the property.

On June 16 at 8:32 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 southbound at exit 44 in Middletown. The driver, Gary L. Altmiller, 59, of Hatboro, was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI and faces charges in district court. Trooper Thomas Geerlof investigated the incident.

On June 17 at 2:16 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Manuel Cuevas, 26, of Bristol, was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI and faces charges in district court. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On June 17 at 6:15 a.m., state police responded to a stopped vehicle at South Bellevue and Highland avenues in Langhorne Manor. The driver, Brian Atkerson, 37, of Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On June 18 at 3:41 a.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at milepost 45 in Middletown. The driver, Maria Guadalupe Hernandez-Cruz, 22, of Bristol, was found to be intoxicated. She faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.

On June 19 at 12:03 p.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run crash on I-95 northbound at milepost 43 in Middletown. Police said a gray Toyota struck the victim’s vehicle in the rear. The driver was described as a white male with brown hair. Anyone with information should contact state police at 215-942-3900. Trooper Erik Sinwich investigated the incident.

On June 19 at 11:56 p.m., state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on I-95 southbound near Tennis Avenue in Bensalem. Police said a vehicle driven by Wayne J. Miller, 56, of Philadelphia, rear ended a road maintenance vehicle. Miller showed signs of intoxication and faces DUI charges. He complained of hip pain and was transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.
