Super Moon on Monday, Cirque Italia Later This Week

Take a look at what's happening this week around town.

  • Grab your telescope for a night under the stars on Monday. Or, opt to leave it at home to catch a glimpse of the upcoming super moon. The ideal time to view the super moon at its fullest is within the first few minutes of the moonrise on July 22. According to the U.S. Naval Observatory, the moonrise will take place at approximately 8:08 p.m, and the moon will set at 6:57 a.m. the following day.
  • The Bensalem Township Council meeting scheduled for Monday at 7:30 p.m. has been canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for August 12.
  • The TD Bank Amphitheater hosts a free screening of the animated movie Gnomeo and Juliet on Tuesday. The film begins at dusk.
  • The Cirque Italia will set up its 70-foot blue and white tent at the Neshaminy Mall to present its "Spectacular Water Circus." The show will be in town July 26-28 and August 1-4. One free child ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.
  • After the hottest week of the year things cool down a bit this week, with temperatures hovering in the mid- to high 80s, with possible showers and thunderstorms Monday through Thursday.
