It's not exactly a buried treasure chest filled with gold and jewels, but it just may be the next best thing.
Krispy Kreme Donuts is offering free donuts to anybody gutsy enough to go full Jolly Roger on Thursday, Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Customers can either talk like a pirate and earn one free glazed donut, or truly get into the spirit of things by dressing up in costume and take home a full dozen glazed donuts.
The bakery's website offers some suggestions for the proper attire, including:

- Eye-Patch
- Costume hook
- Pirate shirt
- Peg-leg
- Parrot
- Knickers
