1 Dead In Main Line Head-On Crash: Police

Lower Merion Police said the crash that killed one and hurt another occurred at 11:02 a.m. on Conshohocken State Road in Gladwyne.

GLADWYNE, PA — One person is dead and another recovering after a head-on crash in Gladwyne Friday.

Lower Merion Township Police said a 51-year-old man died, and a 75-year-old woman was hospitalized as a result of the crash.

Authorities said the crash occurred at about 11:02 a.m. on the 600 block of Conshohocken State Road in Gladwyne.

A 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross driven by the man was heading west on that block when it crossed over the double yellow line, police said. After crossing the line, the Toyota struck a 2012 GMC Terrain driven by the woman head on, police said.

Both the man and woman were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.

During the crash investigation, Conshohocken State Road was closed between Scott Road
and Henry Lane for about four hours.

Police are investigating the crash and ask anyone with information to call them at 610-649-1000.
