Browning Lane Little Free Library Story Time Series Begins Next Week
Special guests at the story time series include Villanova University athletes, Radnor Police Superintendent Chris Flanagan, and more.
BRYN MAWR, PA — The Browning Lane Little Free (Children's) Library in Bryn Mawr is getting ready for another summer of kids story times.
Located at 134 Browning Lane in Bryn Mawr, the Browning Lane Little Free Library will begin its summer story time series on Wednesday.
Each night will feature activities, special guests, and more.

Wednesday, June 4 at 6 p.m. — The Curmudgeon

Opening night with crafts and music provided by Ross Fry the Music Guy, followed by the book "The Unbudgeable Curmudgeon" by Matthew Burgess read by a grumpy, difficult, ill-tempered visitor. At the end, we’ll see if we can cheer him up with a popsicle and hopefully, he’ll read a second book that is cheerful. (Sponsored by Team Pulos)
Tuesday, June 10 at 6 p.m. — Villanova Athletes
Villanova Athletes from different teams will read to kids of all ages. We’ll break into small groups according to age, and older kids will have a chance to play interactive games with the athletes. (Sponsored by Villanova University)
Wednesday, June 11 at 10 a.m. — Yoga and Stories
Liz Seadon, yoga instructor with Mindfulness Through Movement, a program designed to better the lives of children in Philadelphia’s underserved communities, will lead us in fun yoga and read stories. Liz also teaches adults at Verge Yoga in Wayne.
Wednesday, June 18 at 6 p.m. — Grandparent Night
Warm and energetic neighbors and grandparents, Chris and Kim Campbell, will each read their favorite children’s book. Kim is a lead teacher of 3-year-olds at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian’s Weekday School.
Tuesday, June 24 at 6 p.m. — Radnor Police Chief, Chris Flanagan
Radnor Superintendent of Police, Christopher Flanagan, will join us to read two of his favorite children’s books. He’ll bring his walkie-talkie and may call in support at the end of reading. (Sponsored by Rosemont/Garrett Hill 4th of July Committee)
Thursday, June 26 at 10 a.m. — Stories & Crafts
Elizabeth Rossini will lead us in stories and crafts. Dr. Rossini is Assistant Head of School at Agnes Irwin and has taught literacy and more in schools around the world.
Tuesday, July 1 at 6 p.m. — Diggers, Bulldozers, Tractors, and More
Radnor Public Works will bring their biggest digger, and anyone is welcome to climb inside. Our readers will be neighbors ten years and older, and we’ll break into small groups to read about all kinds of construction vehicles. (Sponsored by Find a Sitter Today)
