Bryn Mawr Home Sales Increase, Prices Decrease in June

Lower Merion saw home sales and prices rise in June, according to statistics from Prudential Fox Roach, though the median price of a home sold in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne and Villanova decreased from the same month last year.

Thirty-four houses sold in Bryn Mawr last month, and 28 in June 2011. The median sale price was $506,200, down from $537,500 in May and $670,500 last June.

In Gladwyne, seven homes sold in June, down from 11 in May but up from five in June 2011. The median sale price of $722,420 was down from $850,000 in May but up over the $641,500 last June.

Villanova saw eight homes sell in June, up from five in May but down slightly from nine in June 2011. The median sale price was $757,500, down from $1.2 million in May and from $950,000 last June.

Throughout Lower Merion, 100 houses sold in June, up from 88 in May and 90 in June 2011. The $524,500 median sale price was up significantly over the $414,500 of June 2011 but down slightly to the $537,500 of May.
