Congressman Evans Visits Main Line Small Businesses
Evans called small business owners the "true champions of our economy" and hailed their positive impact on local economies.

Congressman Dwight Evans (PA-02) and Pennsylvania State Representative Mary Jo Daley visited a variety of small businesses on the Main Line to kick off National Small Business Week. Evans and Daley stopped by eight businesses on Haverford Avenue in Narberth Monday.
“Our small business owners are the true champions of our economy,” Congressman Evans said. “The impact and footprint our small businesses have in terms of investment and economic growth expands beyond their individual storefronts.”
Evans paid visits to Ricklin’s Hardware, Narberth Cheese Company, Narberth Bookshop, P. Spinelli and Sons, Inc., Sweet Mabel Folk Art & Fine Craft, Spot's The Place for Paws, The Greeks Next Door, and Character Development.

Every president since 1963 has recognized National Small Business Week to highlight the countless contributions our small businesses have made on our economy, according to a press release from Evans.
Communities across the nation will celebrate National Small Business Week from April 30 to May 6, 2017.

Last week, Evans joined members of the House Small Business Committee to introduce House Resolution 288, a bipartisan resolution to commemorate National Small Business Week and the critical role small business owners and entrepreneurs have on our economy, according to the press release.
“From our schools to our hospitals to our small businesses, Pennsylvania’s Second Congressional District has countless anchors that drive investment across the Commonwealth we are fortunate to have these economic engines right in our backyard," Evans said in a statement.
