Gas Line Struck in Ardmore, Three Homes Evacuated

Road crews hit the line late Monday morning, according to reports.

Three homes have been evacuated in Ardmore after road crews struck a gas line late Monday morning, Lower Merion officials confirmed.

Officials say that the incident occurred during road construction at the closed intersection of County Line Road and Simpson Avenue.

Occupants of three houses on Simpson Avenue had to be evacuated but returned to their homes by 1 p.m. after PECO and emergency management crews cleared the scene, according to Lower Merion officials.
