1. 3rd ANNUAL ADAM SPECTOR HODGKIN'S LYMPHOMA WALK TO WIN

When/Where: Registration for the run will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at the parking lot. Registration for the walk will begin at 9 a.m. near the Harriton parking lot at the tent from Whole Foods, which has been a sponsor of the event since its inception. Both the walk and the run will begin at 10 a.m.

Why go: With the rest of the community, help raise money for Hodgkin's lymphoma research in the memory of Gladwyne resident and Harriton High School valedictorian .

2. SIGNS OF OUR TIMES: A HISTORY OF LOWER MERION’S UNIQUE STREET SIGNS

When/Where: 7:45 p.m. Thursday, April 7, Waverly Heights, 1400 Waverly Road, Gladwyne

Why go: Learn about the history of the township’s traditional cast-metal street signs, which could see aluminum replacements in a few years because of an . The township to apply for a waiver last month.

3. WIN WIN

When/Where: Starts Friday, April 8 at the , 824 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr

4. WILDERNESS SURVIVAL 

When/Where: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 1950 Spring Mill Road, Gladwyne

Why go: Survival is key as you learn how to make a shelter out of logs, start a fire, identify food in the wild and read a compass. Participants should wear long pants and sturdy shoes.

Cost: $15 per family
