Healthy Fast Food Coming to Wynnewood Square

The b.good franchise promises a menu filled with gluten-free and vegetarian options made with local produce.

Philadelphia fast food fans are about to get a healthier option when the b.good chain opens a franchise location at the Wynnewood Square Shopping Center on Lancaster Avenue this summer. The exact date of the grand opening has not been announced.

Taking over the former Qdoba space at the center, b.good promises a 95 percent gluten-free menu with many vegetarian and vegan options. It is one of five locations planned for the region over the next five years.

The dining selections boasts diet friendly fare including house-ground burgers and sandwiches, kale and quinoa bowls, veggie burgers, smoothies, shakes and fries, all made using ingredients from local farmers and producers. Sources include Spina & Sons in Salem, N.J., Marolda Farm in Vineland, N.J., Trickling Springs Creamery in Chambersburg, Roseda Farm in Monkton, Md., Wild Flour Bakery in Philadelphia and 1732 Meats in Lansdowne.
