Lower Merion Publishes Plan for $900K Community Grant
Members of the public are invited to review the plan prior to an April 8 public hearing.

For the next 30 days, Lower Merion residents will have the opportunity to review the township’s plan to disperse more than $900,000 from its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
According to officials, the following projects will be benefit from Lower Merion’s $911,216 allocation:
- Housing Rehabilitation for Owner-Occupied Housing and Home Purchase Program ($381,291);
- Public Services ($136,682);
- Public Facilities and Infrastructure ($211,000);
- and Administration, Planning & Fair Housing ($182,243).
An additional $63,490 from the 2014 fund will be reprogrammed into new or existing activities.

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. in the meeting room on the second floor of the township building.
Residents are invited to provide views and comments on the proposed use of the funds and the Five Year Consolidated Plan’s goals and objectives.

The Annual Action Plan and the 5-Year Consolidated Plan documents can be viewed at the Building & Planning Department, Community Development Division on the first floor of the township building or at the following libraries:
- Ludington Library, 5 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue
- Bala Cynwyd, 131 Old Lancaster Road
- Belmont Hills, 120 Mary Watersford Road
All written comments should be submitted by May 2 to the Building & Planning Department, 75 East Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003.
