No Water Shut Offs During Coronavirus Outbreak: Aqua PA
Many Pennsylvanians may struggle to pay bills during the outbreak, but Aqua Pennsylvania said it will keep water on during the emergency.
BRYN MAWR, PA — As businesses close or limit their offerings, workers may be feeling the impacts on their bank accounts. Luckily, Aqua Pennsylvania is going to keep the water on.
The utility company said it will not terminate customers' service and will discontinue non-emergency service shut-offs.
Aqua Pennsylvania serves 32 counties. A full list of served counties is below.

"Aqua will continue to perform duties to maintain our mission critical operations and ensure our drinking water and wastewater systems continue to meet all state and federal regulatory standards and provide the highest level of uninterrupted service to our customers," the company said.
Customers should not expect disruptions to water service due to the local coronavirus outbreak.

Also, Aqua said the water supply meets or exceeds state and federal safety requirements.
"Aqua’s standard business operations include treatment procedures that remove or inactivate viruses, including COVID-19, from our water supplies and sources," the company said. "Our preparedness efforts include providing ongoing guidance and resources to our employees to mitigate the spread of acute respiratory illness, lessen the potential impact of COVID-19 in our facilities and maintain business operations."
