Hundreds turned out for Bryn Mawr Day on Saturday—a celebration of the past and future of Bryn Mawr.
The past was recognized with the second annual celebration of the Bryn Mawr 100—the 21 institutions in Bryn Mawr that are 100 years old, with this year's addition of and the Bryn Mawr Gospel Hall recognized at a ceremony Saturday morning.
The future was celebrated with Bryn Mawr Day's 10 a.m. kickoff event: the reopening of Lower Merion's flagship Ludington Library, and Montgomery County's most-visited library prior to its 2010 closing. Ludington, which will celebrate 100 years in 2016, was packed with visitors throughout the day.

In Bryn Mawr Lot 7, adjacent to the weekly Saturday farmers market, there were even more attractions. A circus attracted a huge crowd of families, and Bryn Mawr 100 institutions set up tables with information and swag.
Along Lancaster Avenue, still more businesses had sidewalk sales. Other circus performers, including a man on stilts, roamed the streets.
