Police Blotter: Armed Man Attempts Robbery in Bala Cynwyd

While the Lower Merion Police Department did not report any crime in Bryn Mawr or Gladwyne in the past week,  on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd experienced an attempted armed robbery early morning Saturday, police said.

An unidentified man displayed a gun to the cashier and demanded money from the cash register, police said in a Bala Cynwyd Patch report. However, the suspect fled when the cashier could not open the register, police said.
