Snow Expected to Continue Through Wednesday Evening

Flurries began about 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne area as the National Weather Service predicted light snow and wintry mix through late Wednesday night.

By 4:15 p.m., it had been only fat snowflakes, with no rain, but roads were just wet, with no trace of snow or slush cover on Route 30/Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr.

A winter weather advisory, which warns roads could become slick, is in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the NWS.

No more than two inches is expected to accumulate, though it could still be an issue in the evening commute. Lower Merion Township began salting roads in the early afternoon.

NBC 10 issued an updated forecast for the evening commute shortly before 5 p.m.
