What Should Replace Medley Music in Bryn Mawr?

The building has been vacant since the store closed in 2008.

Today, we're spotlighting the former home of Medley Music, at 1041 W. Lancaster Ave. in Bryn Mawr.

The music store closed on Dec. 31, 2008. At the time, second-generation owner Gerson Rosenbloom released a statement they were forced to close because of online competition and "hyper-competition" from national chains, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The space is , which has been renovating the interior and façade of the building.

"We're just starting to market it now at this point," said property manager Jay Gordon, of Legend. "We're hopeful that we will attract an upscale white-tablecloth restaurateur, and smaller men’s and women’s boutiques individually."

There are also apartments upstairs, he said.

"It is an exciting project, and it’s coming along extremely well," Gordon added. "We're really looking forward to a very fruitful fall in getting another tenant in there."
